Rugby in New Zealand

The Guardian - Weekend Magazine

The Guardian, in its Weekend Magazine, published this past Saturday one of the photos from my project  on rugby in New Zealand.

Very timely, as the Rugby World Cup starts in New Zealand in two days.

Congratulations on a wonderful picture! I will be getting a print.

Saw it in the Guardian. It perfectly encapsulates the passion for rugby in NZ, and also the intense rivalry between schools and schoolboys the world over. It could be a scene from 'Lord of the Flies'!

Loved your other work on the website too.

  2. Hi Simon,

Thanks! "Lord of the Flies" that's an interesting comparison. It does make sense. Someone also compared it to Harry Potter ...

I'm sending you an email regarding the print.

    Cheers,

    Nacho

    Hi,
could you send me details for ordering a print too, please?
My son went to the opposing school, and so we were at that very match!
We had just arrived back to the UK after 4 great years in New Plymouth and opened the Guardian to see this picture. It is one of our many great memories of our time there, and your picture captures the passion so well.
